Course Description
Adobe Fireworks is a program that is part of the Adobe Creative Suite family of products. Formerly known as Macromedia Fireworks, the program is a bitmap and vector graphics editor that is typically used to create interactive graphics and website prototypes, as well as interfaces for apps and games.
This course will teach you how to successfully use Adobe Fireworks, no matter if you have ever used the program before or not. Both the beginner and seasoned user can benefit from this course, starting with the basics of the program including navigation and continuing on to more advanced features.
You will learn how to:

· Create new documents and import existing ones
· Import pages and images
· Work with layers, pages, and documents
· Edit bitmap images
· Create and edit vector images

Lesson 1: Introduction to Adobe Fireworks CS6
Adobe Fireworks is a program that is part of the Adobe Creative Suite family of products formerly known as Macromedia Fireworks.Lesson 2: The Fireworks Workflow
In this lesson, we are going to focus on the very basic skills you need to work with pages, layers, and states.Lesson 3: Working with Bitmap Images
A bitmap, or a raster image, is made up of pixels. In this lesson, we are going to learn how to work with bitmap images in Fireworks.Lesson 4: The Bitmap Selection Tools
When you use the selection tools located in the Bitmap area of the Tools panel, you can select a certain area of an image, then edit only that area without making changes to the entire image.Lesson 5: Working with Vector Shapes
By definition, a vector is a path between two points on the screen.Lesson 6: Creating and Editing Masks
In Fireworks, a mask is used to either hide or show part of an object.Lesson 7: Using and Creating Styles
You can save the filters and options that you apply to one object. This collection of changes that you made then becomes what is called a style.Lesson 8: All about Symbols
Fireworks CS6 offers you a myriad of prebuilt symbols that you can use. However, it's also simple enough to create your own.Lesson 9: Optimizing Your Files
Optimizing your files is the process of making sure your files are of the best quality while keeping the file size as small as possible.Lesson 10: Adding Interactivity to Objects
