This course starts with an overview of Salesforce and what it has to offer organizations. You start with a basic overview of Salesforce and the main components that track sales. Salesforce has only a few major data objects, but organizations can take advantage of Salesforce's full flexibility and customization options. We show you how to set up your organizations and create user interfaces that make it easy for employees to get started.
Employees must be given access and user accounts before they can access the platform, and this course shows you how to create user accounts and import and export data as needed. These customizations include creating buttons, links and data objects that store and display the data specific to your organization.
Finally, this course explains how to make reports and dashboards. These components let employees, managers and executives review and analyze data relative to sales and marketing. You can use these components to see the success of your marketing campaigns or the effectiveness of your sales team. - Demonstrate the ability to navigate to the Object Manager in the Salesforce setup, customize object properties, and integrate them with the Salesforce interface through tab creation.
- Identify and describe the process of creating and deploying a new custom object in Salesforce, including setting permissions and linking it to a custom tab.
- Define the types of relationships between Salesforce data tables using Schema Builder by identifying one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many relationships.
- Demonstrate the ability to navigate Schema Builder to view and manipulate data table relationships by utilizing the mouse hover and magnifying glass functions.
- Define the steps necessary to prepare and format a data file for import into Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and correct field mapping.
- Demonstrate the use of Salesforce Data Import Wizard to import up to 50,000 records, including configuring import settings and verifying successful data import.
- Demonstrate the process of exporting all data from Salesforce by navigating to the Setup page and configuring export settings.
- Demonstrate mastery of lesson content at levels of 70% or higher.
