  • Define and develop a comprehensive vegetation management plan to create a defensible space by identifying and clearing combustible materials within 100 feet of structures.
  • Demonstrate how to conduct a monthly smoke alarm test and replace batteries as necessary at home following lesson completion.
  • Identify and describe the two types of smoke alarms and their detection capabilities by the end of the lesson.
  • Describe the steps to develop and maintain an effective fire prevention plan for a business, including employee training and professional consultations.
  • Identify and differentiate between various types of fire sprinkler systems available for businesses, explaining their functionality and appropriate usage scenarios.
  • Define combustion and identify the elements of the fire triangle.
