Cornrows are a form of traditional African hair art made by braiding the hair along the scalp in geometric designs. They are somewhat like an inside out "French braid". Styles can range from simple, with one or two rows binding the hair back, to the extremely complex, with hundreds of tiny rows of braids swirling all over the scalp. Dreadlocks are what happens when the hair is allowed to go uncombed. The hair is either rolled, twisted, or left on its own to form matted locks. The look and texture will vary depending on the individual and what, if any, maintenance is done. Dreadlocks are generally seen as an African hairstyle, but they have a very long history in India as well.

African Hairstyles - Cornrows, Braid Extensions, and Dreadlocks is a course on the basics of caring for super-curly African hair, as well as cornrows, braid extensions, and dreadlocks for all hair textures from all ethnicities, from straight to super-curly.
