Creative Writing I is taught by a college creative writing instructor and published author. It contains five lessons: Introduction to Creative Writing I, Developing Creative Awareness, Following Your Creative Muse, Opening Your Pandora's Box, and Filling the White Page Canvas.

The only course requirements are: 1. a willingness to explore your creative expression, 2. an interest in creative writing and 3. a desire to develop your creativity. There is no grade for this course. A score of 70% or better on all assignments and quizzes is passing. 70% or better required for all certificates, except the Certificate of Academic Excellence, which requires 75%. All lessons are designed to put you in touch with your creative abilities, free your expression and have fun flowing with your writing.


This course offers 1.0 CEUs upon successful completion. You may take this online course with or without CEU documentation. An online and hard-copy Certificate of Course Completion displaying your coursework and CEUs earned is included with the CEU Option. We also offer an expedited Transcript Service for sending your accomplishments to a third party.

  4. Opening Your Pandora's Box - This lesson teaches you how to free your inner expression.
  5. Filling the White Page Canvas - This lesson teaches you simple forms of creative writing.
