This course, ADHD: Gift? Or Disorder, was written for parents, teachers, child care providers, or professionals working with children who have been identified as having Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD) or children with high energy or hyperactivity levels. It is taught by a Dr. Catherine Cain, a Pediatric Behavioral Specialist with over 25 years experience. Students will learn:
1. How to identify ADHD.
2. The causes of ADHD.
3. What treatments are available for ADHD.
4. How to solve behavior problems associated with ADHD in the home or classroom. You need not have prior education or experience in order to take this course. It is written in easy to understand language.

 Course Description This course offers insight into understanding of Attention Deficit Disorder(ADHD), hyperactivity, and impulsivity in children. Learn: - How a child with ADHD thinks;
- How a child with ADHD learns;
- Methods for treating ADHD other than medication; and,
- Effective strategies for helping a child with ADHD in the classroom or home.
This course was written for therapists, educators, parents, and others working with children with ADHD. It is taught by a Dr. Catherine Cain, a Pediatric Behavioral Specialist with over 25 years experience. It also includes information on how the environment influences ADHD symptoms. | Lesson 5: Factors Related to ADHDThis lesson covers factors that are related to ADHD that are in the environment. | Lesson 6: Strategies, Funding, ResourcesLesson 6 offers 30 of my best strategies for working with ADHD, along with information about funding and resources. |
